The MIQuakes Network is made up of a group of Michigan high schools, community colleges and universities from around the state that have seismometers capable of recording seismic activity from around the country as well as from across the globe. Many of these stations are sponsored by IRIS (Incorporated Research Institutes in Seismology) or by both IRIS and MESTA. Currently, one station - IMMI in Ida, MI - is accessible for remote viewing of seismic activity if local, regional, or strong global events have occurred from IRIS: http://geoserver.iris.edu/content/immi. The station displays screenshots at the IRIS site, so time coverage will vary. IRIS has created an Education and Outreach webpage especially for educators.
